I like how the Hurricane Sandy blog was updated constantly. Things like that are great ideas to keep people updated. But I think more people would have been watching on facebook or twitter rather than a blog.
The online job fair is stinking cool! One of my biggest critiques.. is that it completely cuts out the face to face aspect of most job fairs. One of the biggest best things about it is the simplicity of sharing your resume with a wide array of people and companies. The future is here.

When it comes to informing students of what is due, what is current, and what they should be doing, I've learned that a blog is the way to go in the year 2014. This is still a test, and I'm sure it will change over time, but it is what it is for now.
