The Pinterest on the White House shocked me that the posts were not about the news going on in the White House rather it was the most recent celebrities that had visited the White house. This is because, as we have talked about in class, pinterest is fueled by visual images. The celebrities and what they wear are appealing to the female users of pinterest.
ReplyDeleteI think it is very cool that the White House has their own Pinterest account. Their Pinterest is relatable, and you get a good look at what's going on around the White House.
ReplyDeleteI really like how Pinterest now has a career tab. Since I am about to graduate from college I can use this as another tool when it comes to researching job. I hope UA joins in and features careers on Pinterest.
ReplyDeleteThe article about pinterest and facebook acting as the new wedding planners was very interesting and true. Girls before they are even engaged are already pinning boards about their future wedding.
ReplyDeleteI think it is absolutely wonderful that the White House is using pinterest, it is a great way to show off things that are going on around the house and in the political world. There were beautiful pictures of celebrities attending gala's at the house. Also, there were old pictures that are over all entertaining.
ReplyDeleteI love the new secret board feature on Pintrest. It is a neat way to hide stuff if you are trying to plan an event or holiday.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely its addictive- it gives hope to those not crafty- makes cooking possible to those who burn all- teaches people things they never knew, like how to make a wine bottle a beautiful nightlight:)
Its growing popularity reaches all genders and now organizations are jumping on the pinable bandwagon.
As Pintrest continues to grow and evolve I only see more and more people of all ages getting involved as a one stop site that links all things interesting:)
Pintrest is addictive because of the emotion it displays in the pictures. The photos are extremely powerful and provide a sense of empathy which people love. As pintrest develops and becomes a bigger name in the future, more people will be posting pictures and different stories including companies.
