1.     Search  Google Trends   http://www.google.com/trends/: Type in groundhog and tell me which year shows the biggest trend. Copy and paste the link to the five stories that show up on the right side of the graph. What region, city, and language does “groundhog” appear to be used the most.

2.     Google News   http://news.google.com   Go to google news and give me the links to the top five news stories that appear.

3.     Google Insights   http://www.google.com/insights/search/  Under search terms, type in immigration law, under filter, make sure it’s on web search, United States, Alabama, all metros, and limit it to the last 30 days, all categories. How many immigration law stories did you find?  Copy and paste the embedded HTML graphic/chart. 

4.     Google Alerts  www.google.com/alerts  Go to google alerts and do a search query on the University of Alabama. Tell me the top five stories that show up, copy and past the links to those five stories.

5.     Google Maps  www.maps.google.com Map where you live.

6.     Google Translate  www.translate.google.com/   Go to google translate and type in “I want to learn more about telecommunication and film.” Translate it from English to Spanish and copy and paste what words it gives you. Translate it from Spanish to French and tell me what it gives you.

7.     Google Public Data http://www.google.com/publicdata/directory     Go to google public data, click on GDP and Personal income of the US, go to disposable personal income, compare all the regions that are listed and tell me which one has the highest disposable personal income and which one has the lowest and highest for 1990, 2000, and 2010.

8.     Google Currency Converter www.google.com/finance/converter
9.     Go to google converter and convert 500 Euros to the American dollar and tell me what it is worth.

        Go to Google Pacman, insert coin and play. Tell me your high score on the first game.

11.   Google Voice https://www.google.com/voice
 Go to Google Voice, create a new phone number and text me 205-724-9449. Give me your name, class you are in, and say have a good day.
