Facebook Search Graph: How to search for "Facebooky things"
ReplyDeleteThis is really funny and really scary at the same time. I love technology and these creepy specific searches make you think about what you have public through facebook.

Test from dr. Clark
ReplyDeleteThe video of the wrestler was a hit. Because the guy was ok after, I think it made for more entertaining news. Viewers don't expect that to happen to him so the story has a major surprise element.
ReplyDeleteAnne Tyler Bushman
The article about the girl tweeting during a school shooting just shows you that having your phone at school can come in handy. Sending out tweets became a fast way for her to send out information. I am not sure as to why she was tweeting to her friends and family verses texting them or calling the police but it made for a good story.
ReplyDeleteHow to save Snapchat Pictures
ReplyDeleteI am a snap chat user, not for sexual purposes. Instead, me, my friends, and my boyfriend send ridiculously stupid faces to eachother that should never surface EVER again. However, my boyfriend will occasionally screen shot the picture and it shows me that he does it. So, it is pretty scary to know that people can hide the fact that they screen shotted something especially for people that do send explicit photos.
I find the kid that got hit by the light during the wrestling match hilarious, but also extremely scary. When I played basketball in high school, I occasionally thought, "what if one of those huge halogen lights fell on the floor while we were playing?" Well, I guess I know what I would have done... Freaked out
ReplyDeleteThe article about the flu-fighting products is interesting. There's a UV wand that scans for flu particles and obliterates them so you know if you're crawling with germs.
ReplyDeleteSince Beyonce is my ex wife I will come to her defense. I don't see what is the big deal about her lip singing at the inauguration. It's not like she can't sing anyway. People need to find something more newsworthy to talk about.
ReplyDeleteI dunno how true the SnapChat article is. I actually tried to do what it said and I couldn't get it to work. But either was it is a bit ridiculous that there are so many ways to get around restrictions through technology
ReplyDeleteI think the whole Beyonce issue is silly. Every singer lip Sings at some point. For a televised event she had no choice. There is no doubt that she is a legend and extremely talented. I am excited to see her performece at the Superbowl.
ReplyDeleteSIUHWEFIUNSDFLISAJ! *Spew Coffee I just Sipped* Beyonce lip sings!
ReplyDeleteBut for real...who cares?
The President of the United States of America was sworn into office and this is what people choose to hone in on and discuss? She probably did it to avoid attention of a voice crack because people are So Critical. Despite her efforts people still found something to pick at.
I wish she had sung it naturally but I'm not losing any sleep over it and good luck getting someone to sing it next year! (I vote the Biebs)
Now can we get back to how we plan to get our economy out of the slums?
So who cares if Beyonce lip synced. Until you possess a voice like hers, you have little room to criticize her. Those events are planned on a script, not lip syncing would go off that script.
ReplyDeleteAshley Huntley Beyonce noted that she did not lip synced on facebook and that she wished that people would go with their own opinion instead of believing everything that they hear.
ReplyDeleteI don't really know what to think about the facebook envy study versus the Facebook stress study. I think to get upset over something as petty as someone having more likes on their statuses than you is stupid and you probably need to get a life. As far as other people feeling a sense of community from facebook, I can understand that but at the same time some people go over board with sharing information about themselves on there. I can't relate because I use facebook to keep in touch and I get on it when I'm board. I guess it's whatever you make of it though.
ReplyDeleteBeyonce lip singing the national anthem to me is only a big deal because it is such an important song for an American. Lip singing all together though to me is not a big deal. Every singer has done it and it does not mean the singer chose to lip sing. In some places the singing would sound horrible because of the acoustics. The artist has two choices almost; lip sing and make the song sound great (lip sining to your own voice) or have the performance sound horrible and lose fans. It is almost a lose lose situation for the artist (DO NOT GET CAUGHT)
