This is a brilliant idea! I don't fly much but I am such a geek the next time that I fly I would fly delta simply to play with this app mid-flight. I am sure that the other tablet companies are not thrilled about this being an exclusive Apple app for right now.

I am reading this article after watching the Golden Globes, but I find it funny because I participated in the majority of the "6 Ways to Enjoy the Globes". When award season comes around, I find it interesting to follow the celebrities on Twitter and Instagram the night of the show. It's a good insight to their night.

  3. Wow! The glass bottom jet app seems so cool! This takes touring and travel to the next level. You can virtually become your own travel guide. I really like the idea of being able to see exactly where you are on your flight and being able to read interesting things about the places you are flying over. Also, I am such a forgetful person, so the feature where it reminds you of your check in time AND gets you your boarding pass on your phone is great!

  4. The app for Delta seems awesome! This just shows you how technology has come a long way. I love to fly and fly often, however I fly Southwest most of the time but now I would consider flying Delta. Very very cool!!

  5. I guess I'll be the fourth to say how cool the glass bottom app is! Is it useful? I can't think of a significantly important use for it, but how cool is it to be able to see what you're flying over in real time?? It reminds me of the glass bottom boats, where you can see all the fish and ecosystems in whatever body of water you're sailing on.

  6. The Nielsen combining with Twitter to provide tv ratings is a revolutionary step for the industry. Things just keep advancing in the broadcast world. But how exactly can they accurately monitor the numbers of viewers from Twitter? And the glass bottom app is pretty neat. Especially since I've never flown but I will one day. That makes it incredibly easy for the user to know exactly what to do for an entire trip.

  7. It just amazes me how technology is constantly evolving. After reading the Golden Globes article I was pretty shocked. I like the feature that gives you a 360 view of what the celeb is wearing. Even though I would be more interested in hearing what George Clooney has to say. Also, I think the heat gauge is a awesome feature because you can see which celeb is an avid tweeter.

  8. I think it's awesome how they incorporated all kinds of social media for the broadcast. They literally made it to where almost anyone in the world can watch. I personally loved the 360 view of what celebrities were wearing, and the fact that you could see jewelry and nails close up. The fact that technology has advanced that much is crazy.

  9. I think the glass bottom jet app is genius. I love how far technology has come and where it is going. Flying is boring and this is a great way to entertain customers.

  10. Nielsen to Acquire Arbitron's article sounds like a brilliant move for both companies. Nielsen is the front runner in TV ratings and for them to pair up with the power house of audio sounds like money in the bank for both of them. For the article to point out how valuable radio still is today was refreshing. Hopefully advertisers will prosper greatly from the companies merging:)

  11. I think Nielsen doing ratings is pretty revolutionary. It does a good measure of not only what people are watching, but what people are caring enough about to talk about. I just feel sorry for the poor guy who has to read a bunch of tweets from 14 year old girls arguing over who is the better looking singer on the Voice. That is how you win right?

  12. I think the glass bottom jet app is really cool. I hope it would be available to people with iphones as well for those who do not have ipads. I think it is really cool though and would definitely be entertaining on a long flight.

  13. I think the gopro camera is a great idea and could help use further our knowledge about things by getting a closer look at them.

  14. I really dont understand how facebook would make money since it is a free social network but however there is not only people but companies and celebrities also and that could mean something. All of the large networks and Facebook being the largest social network that everyone use.
